Job summary

LGPS Central is seeking an Investment Analyst in Wolverhampton to contribute across the investment function, delivering high-quality research and supporting long-term, well-governed outcomes across major asset classes.

You will work with Portfolio Managers in alternatives and hedging solutions, perform financial and qualitative analysis, maintain models and data, and assist governance reporting in a FCA-regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting investment processes within asset management, pensions or financial institutions.
• Understanding of investment principles, portfolio construction and the risk-return trade-off across multiple asset classes.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse investments and clearly document rationale and outcomes.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
• Well organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
• High standards of professional ethics, integrity and judgement.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, across teams.
• Awareness of responsible investment and stewardship concepts and their relevance to long-term investment outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality research and analysis to support investment decisions across the asset class universe.
• Support portfolio Managers in analysis, evaluation and monitoring of investments across LGPS Central’s full asset class universe.
• Assist in sourcing, assessment and recommendation of new investments in line with strategies and processes.
• Maintain accurate models, datasets and records to support oversight and decision making.
• Contribute to quarterly and annual reporting for funds and governance forums.
• Support integration of responsible investment and stewardship across activity.
