Job summary

Argus Fire, part of the Mitie Group, is the UK’s leading fire protection specialist. We seek a hands‑on assistant to support Fitters with fabrication and installation of sprinkler systems on projects from small to large. You will prepare tools, materials and equipment, and help maintain accurate records while ensuring safety on site.

Based within the London boroughs of Southwark, Camden or City of London, this role emphasizes on‑site learning and development within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in fitting and installing sprinkler systems.
• Prepare and organize tools, materials and equipment.
• Support fitters to maintain records of work.
• Report issues to Site Supervisor.
• Load and unload materials.
• Assist with pipework installation.
• Follow health and safety procedures on site.
• Collaborate with the wider team on project delivery.

Assisting Fitters with the fabrication and installation of sprinklers and sprinkler pipe work projects.

Duties:

• Assisting to fit and install sprinkler systems
• Preparing and organising tools, materials and equipment required for daily site activities
• Supporting Fitters to maintain accurate records of work completed
• Reporting any issues promptly to Site Supervisor
• Loading and unloading materials
• Assisting with pipework installation
• Following all health and safety procedures and company policies on site
• Accurately follow instructions and contribute to efficient project deliveryCollaborating with the wider team and other site staff

Candidate Skill Requirements:

• Knowledge of Construction sites
• Previous experience in Fire Sprinkler Installations is desired but not essential
