Job summary

Argus Fire, part of the Mitie Group, is looking for a sprinkler installation technician in Manchester. You will contribute to fabrication and installation on projects, reading drawings and ensuring work meets design and quality standards.

Collaborating with the Project Manager and Engineer, you will help maintain site safety, progress records, and on-site testing and commissioning. CSCS is required; SSSTS and NVQ Level 2 are preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with sprinkler installations on construction sites.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret sprinkler layouts.
• Strong teamwork and on-site coordination skills.
• Knowledge of site safety practices and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Keep records of installation progress and monitor against the program of works.
• Fabrication and installation of sprinkler pipe work.
• Read drawings and ensure work aligns with Argus Fire designs and quality standards.
• Maintain compliance on site with issued method statements and risk assessments.
• Assist with testing and commissioning.
• Supervise mates and trainees.
• Knowledge of construction sites and sprinkler installations.
• Work well in a team.

Location: Manchester/The North, working on projects

40 hours per week, Monday - Friday site hours

Salary will depend on experience

The duties would involve: -

• -Keeping records of installation progress and monitor against program of works
• -Fabrication and installation of sprinkler pipe work
• -Read drawing and ensure work is in accordance with Argus Fire designs and quality expectations and procedures
• -Maintain compliance on site with issued and approved method statements and risk assessments
• -Assist with testing and commissioning
• -Supervising and assisting mates and or trainees
• -Knowledge of Construction sites
• -Understanding of Sprinkler installations, with previous experience in Fire Sprinkler Installations
• -Works well in a team
• -Valid CSCS Card
• -SSSTS (Preferred not essential)
• -Sprinkler NVQ Level 2 (Preferred not essential)
