Job summary

Page Green is seeking a Sprinkler Fitter to work on small to medium sized projects in and around London. The role involves carrying out additions, alterations and fit outs to automatic sprinkler systems and liaising with the client's site representative to manage on-site installation.

You will work in a two-person team, supervising a fitter's mate, ensuring high-quality workmanship, maintaining customer relationships, and responding to emergency call-outs.

Qualifications

• Basic working knowledge of pipe sizing and sprinkler head spacing rules for ordinary hazard occupancies to current BSEN12845 rules.
• Ability to carry out additions/alterations and fit outs to sprinkler systems.
• Willingness to supervise a fitter's mate and work in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Attend Maidenhead office as required, to discuss works and procure materials and plant.
• Attend client sites to carry out small works additions, alterations and fit outs to sprinkler systems per design drawings and instructions.
• Possess a basic working knowledge of pipe sizing and sprinkler head spacing rules for ordinary hazard occupancies to current BSEN12845 rules.
• Carrying out additions and alterations to existing sprinkler systems including isolations of control valves, pumps and water supplies, draining and recommissioning.
• Office and shop fit outs within construction zones.
• Additions and alterations within occupied areas.
• Remedial repair works to existing sprinkler pipework for servicing and installation.
• Receipt and safekeeping of deliveries and plant; return of plant.
• Completion and return of report sheets, site completion certificates, pressure test certificates and site drawings marks.
• Awareness of Health & Safety documentation including risk assessments and method statements.
• Assist office staff with Health & Safety/Quality paperwork.
• Adhere to Health & Safety and Employment Policies; attend training.
• Maintain a driving licence and operate a company vehicle.

Job description

Our client is a leading Fire Prevention Business. They would like to recruit a Sprinkler Fitter to work on small to medium sized projects in and around London.

Role:

• To carry out small works additions, alterations and fit outs to automatic sprinkler systems.


• To liaise with the client's site representative and take charge of the on-site aspects of the installation.


• To work as part of a team of two, supervising a fitters mate.


• To ensure all works are to a high standard, whilst creating and maintaining customer relationships.


• Respond to allocated emergency call outs.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Attend the Maidenhead office as required, to discuss works and relevant job specific instructions and to procure materials and plant from the company stores.


• Attend client sites to carry out small works additions, alterations and fit outs to sprinkler systems in accordance with design drawings and instructions.


• Possess a basic working knowledge of pipe sizing and sprinkler heads spacing rules for ordinary hazard occupancies to current BSEN12845 rules.


• Carrying out the following types of works:


• Additions and alterations to existing sprinkler systems including the initial isolations of all types of control valves, pumps and water supplies, draining of sprinkler systems and refilling and recommissioning on completion.


• Office and shop fit outs within construction zones.


• Additions and alterations within occupied areas.


• Remedial repair works to existing sprinkler pipework for both Servicing and Installation departments.


• Responsible for the receipt of deliveries of materials and hired plant and for the safekeeping and return of plant.


• Responsible for the completion and return of all the necessary report sheets, site completion certificates, pressure test certificates and the site mark up of drawings to reflect as-installed status.


• Responsible for being aware of the details laid out within issued Health & Safety documentation including job specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements.


• Assist internal office staff with the return and completion of any necessary Health and Safety/Quality Management Paperwork.


• Adhere to the company's Health & Safety and Employment Policies as laid out in the relevant employee handbooks.


• Attend all job-related training given, (internal & external training programmes).


• Maintain a driving licence and be responsible for the use and care of a company vehicle in accordance with company policy
