Job summary

Mitie Group plc. (Argus Fire) in Manchester/The North seeks a Site Supervisor to oversee sprinkler installation and fabrication on fire protection projects. You will coordinate with the Project Manager and Project Engineer, ensure works meet design and safety standards, and maintain on-site records.

The role requires knowledge of construction sites, experience with sprinkler systems, and the ability to work in a team. A CSCS card is mandatory; SSSTS and Sprinkler NVQ Level 2 are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction sites and how they operate.
• Experience with sprinkler installations and fire sprinkler systems.
• Ability to work in a team and follow supervisor instructions.
• Valid CSCS Card is required; SSSTS preferred but not essential.
• NVQ Level 2 in Sprinkler installations is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager and Project Engineer on fabrication and installation of sprinkler pipe work.
• Keep installation progress records and monitor against the programme of works.
• Maintain up-to-date site records including site diary.
• Read drawings and ensure work aligns with Argus Fire/Mitie designs and quality standards.
• Maintain compliance with issued method statements and risk assessments on site.
• Assist with testing and commissioning and supervise trainees.

Site Supervisor - Manchester/The North

Location: Manchester/The North, working on projects

40 hours per week, Monday - Friday site hours

Salary will depend on experience

The duties would involve:

• Keeping records of installation progress and monitor against program of works

• Keep up to date site records, including site diary


• Read drawing and ensure work is in accordance with Argus Fire designs and quality expectations and procedures


• Maintain compliance on site with issued and approved method statements and risk assessments


• Assist with testing and commissioning


• Supervising and assisting mates and or trainees

Essential Skills & Requirements

• Knowledge of Construction sites


• Understanding of Sprinkler installations, with previous experience in Fire Sprinkler Installations


• Works well in a team


• Valid CSCS Card


• SSSTS (Preferred not essential)


• Sprinkler NVQ Level 2 (Preferred not essential)
