Job summary

Sulzer in Birmingham is seeking a skilled Fitter/Machinist or Mechanical Engineer to join our Service Centre. You will operate manual lathes, mills and borers, produce precision components and support overhaul projects on engineer drawings and specifications.

• Metal spraying experience would be a distinct advantage.

About the role

Based at our Birmingham Service Centre, you\'ll work from one of the most advanced facilities of its kind in the UK. Opened in 2021 following a major investment, this 82,000 sq. ft Centre of Excellence has been purpose-built around lean manufacturing principles and is equipped with cutting-edge digital technologies, advanced machining capabilities and state-of-the-art additive manufacturing.

What you\'ll be doing:

• Operating manual lathes, mills and borers
• Precision machining of new and refurbished components
• Mechanical fitting, assembly and repair work
• Working from engineering drawings and specifications
• Supporting complex overhaul and refurbishment projects

What we\'re looking for:

Hours of work:

Monday - Thursday : 07:00 - 15:45
Friday : 07:00 - 14:30
