Job summary

Dennis Eagle in Warwick is seeking a hands-on Fitter to join our Production team. You will assemble and install mechanical systems, work with hydraulic and pneumatic components, and read engineering drawings to meet our exacting standards.

This is a practical role with 37 hours per week; the rate is up to £17.73 per hour on DOE. You should be adaptable, safety-conscious and a team player who can move between departments as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic components.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer-literate and able to use production systems.
  • Flexible, team-oriented and willing to work in confined spaces and perform occasional heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

Job description

Role: Fitter

Location: Warwick, CV34 6TE

Hours: 37 hours per week | between 06:30 and 16:00 Monday to Thursday

Hourly rate: Up to £17.73 ph DOE

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for precision and teamwork? We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Fitter to join our Production team in Warwick!

This is a practical role where you’ll assemble and install mechanical systems and components, working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems to deliver high-quality products that meet our exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install mechanical components to engineering specifications
  • Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings
  • Maintain high standards of quality and safety at all times
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets
  • Promote good housekeeping and adhere to health and safety procedures
  • Use computer systems including the Production Management System (PMS)

Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Assembly Operative, or similar role
  • Experience working to takt time in a single-line production environment
  • Skilled in general hydraulic fitting and mechanical assembly
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Computer literate and confident using production systems
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and a team player
  • Willing to work in confined spaces and perform occasional heavy lifting
  • Relevant fitting qualifications or training in hydraulics/pneumatics is a bonus
