Job summary

Dennis Eagle is seeking a hands-on Fitter in Warrington to assemble and install mechanical components in a precision-driven production team. You will work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, interpret engineering drawings, and contribute to delivering high-quality products.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Mechanical Fitter, be proficient with drawings, and comfortable using production systems. This is a full-time on-site role with planned 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Experience as Mechanical Fitter or similar role required.
  • Experience working to takt time in a single-line production.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with production systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install mechanical components to engineering specifications.
  • Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems to meet specs.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and safety at all times.
  • Collaborate with team to meet production targets.
  • Promote housekeeping and adhere to health and safety procedures.
  • Use Production Management System (PMS) for production data.
  • Be flexible and move between departments as needed.

Job description

Role: Fitter

Location: Warrington, WA1 4RZ

Hours: 37 hours per week | between 06:00 - 15:30 Monday to Thursday

Hourly rate: between £16.66 - £19.10 ph DOE

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for precision and teamwork? We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Fitter to join our Production team in Warrington!

This is a practical role where you’ll assemble and install mechanical systems and components, working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems to deliver high-quality products that meet our exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and install mechanical components to engineering specifications
  • Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings
  • Maintain high standards of quality and safety at all times
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets
  • Promote good housekeeping and adhere to health and safety procedures
  • Use computer systems including the Production Management System (PMS)
  • Be flexible and willing to move between departments as needed
Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Assembly Operative, or similar role
  • Experience working to takt time in a single-line production environment
  • Skilled in general hydraulic fitting and mechanical assembly
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Computer literate and confident using production systems
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and a team player
  • Willing to work in confined spaces and perform occasional heavy lifting
  • Relevant fitting qualifications or training in hydraulics/pneumatics is a bonus
