Novus Property Solutions is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join our fast track fit out and refurbishment teams. The role covers live environments across Leisure, Education and Retail sectors, with hybrid working between head office, regional offices, home and on-site locations.

You will obtain and evaluate information to establish realistic costs for works, liaise with contractors, suppliers and clients, and ensure costs, profitability and value meet project requirements.

Formación

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Education, Retail or Leisure refurbishment.
• Knowledge of JCT contracts is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and IT skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in preparation, processing and selection of estimates, bids, and tenders to demanding timescales.
• Assist in the development of the procurement programme from handover to estimating
• Manage sub contractors from procurement through to mobilisation including reviewing applications, assessing variations, issuing relevant certificates in accordance with contract requirements
• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecast for designated projects.
• Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment to the Client/Client’s representative.
• Prepare monthly cost valuation reports
• Submit invoices for certified value and ensure payments are received on time.
• Value and authorise payments to sub-contractors.
• Liaise with Contract Managers to establish the project specification and requirements.
• Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and or Clients/Customers when necessary, building relationships and demonstrating excellent communication skills.
• Monitor the contract progress, assess, and report any changes that may affect project costs and or time scale.
• Assist in the control of contract budgets.
