Job summary

Castle Trust Bank is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance & Operational Risk Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery and development of the bank's First Line QA and Operational Risk frameworks. The role reports into senior risk governance and may line-manage two analysts, with a focus on identifying risks and driving remediation to improve customer outcomes.

Based in Basingstoke on a hybrid basis (3 days in the office, 2 at home), you will collaborate with Operations, Risk, and Compliance to

Qualifications

• Experience within financial services ideally Banking, Mortgages or Consumer Finance.
• Experience within Quality Assurance, Operational Risk, Risk and Control, or Operational Oversight.
• Ability to balance day-to-day operational delivery with longer-term continuous improvement.
• Experience producing management information and governance reporting.
• Strong understanding of operational risk principles, incident management and control frameworks.
• The ability to identify themes, root causes and process improvement opportunities.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the First Line Quality Assurance framework, methodology and governance.
• Lead day-to-day delivery of First Line Operational Risk activity.
• Develop Operational Risk Analysts responsible for incident and breach reporting, issue assessment, root cause analysis, remediation tracking and thematic analysis.
• Produce clear and meaningful management information for senior leaders and governance forums.
• Support regulatory, audit and assurance activity when required.
• Drive continuous improvement across QA, risk reporting and oversight.
