Job summary

DHL at Gatwick Airport is seeking a Back of House, First Line Manager to oversee HR matters and drive excellent service on our aviation contract. You will report to the Airside Performance Manager and lead a team to maintain standards.

The role requires aviation experience, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to investigations and continuous improvement in a fast-paced airport environment.

• Lead and support colleagues in HR matters under supervision.
• Report to the Airside Performance Manager and coordinate meetings.
• Ensure compliance and maintain standards across teams and processes.
• Manage OMS tools to improve working practices.
• Drive performance and efficiency in the operation and with colleagues.

Pay Rate: £45,318.46

Shift patterns: 4 on 4 off - Rotational

Location: Gatwick, RH6 0JW

What does the role entail?

• Leading the oversight in managing and supporting colleagues in HR matters.
• Reporting directly to the Airside Performance Manager you will work closely in managing and supporting colleagues in HR matters.
• Making sure that compliance and standards are maintained, you partnership with them to plan out meetings that are required,
• OMS management of key tools to improve our working practices.
• To build relationships and keep clear communication.
• Comprehensive understanding of DHL HR Management and confident in conducting investigations conducting investigations
• To accept and embrace change as a constant and unpredictable feature of your working environment.
• To understand Safety and be keen to develop ways of working with the local teams in regards incidents/ accidents / GSRs / CSRs. with the local teams in regards incidents/ accidents / GSRs / CSRs.
• Daily trackers, daily call logs, investigations, handover responsibilities, investigations
• Driving performance in operational environment, performance and efficiency of our colleagues.

• Must have aviation experience.

• Self driven and motivated to see out Continuous improvement
• Impeccable literacy and verbal skills.
• Strong leadership skills, leading from the front when it comes to setting standards.

• Be able to provide five years address history
• Be able to provide five years reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
• To obtain a full airside ID
