Communicate Technology in the United Kingdom is seeking a First Line Service Desk Technician to be the first point of contact, logging incidents and providing initial support across a range of technologies within an MSP setting.

This entry-level role offers training and exposure to Microsoft 365, Windows, and basic networking, with opportunities to progress to 2nd and 3rd line support as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• Entry-level IT role with basic troubleshooting responsibilities.
• Certification or education in IT is preferred but not mandatory.
• Great communication and willingness to learn new tech.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first contact for IT issues via phone, email, and ticketing system.
• Log, categorize, and prioritise support requests accurately.
• Provide basic troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, mobiles, and apps.
• Assist with password resets, account unlocks, and Microsoft 365 support.
• Escalate complex issues to 2nd line engineers when required.
• Monitor ticket queues and communicate updates to customers.
• Assist with setting up new users, hardware builds, and software installations.
• Carry out daily checks such as monitoring backups and system alerts.
• Deliver excellent customer service and meet SLA targets.
