Job summary

ePropelled in Coventry, UK is seeking a Firmware Engineer to develop embedded firmware across its product lines, including IPS/PMU, motor controllers and sensors. You will work with electronics, controls, software and systems engineers to turn requirements into reliable firmware on-site.

You will own substantial firmware functionality, contribute to reviews, and help shape architecture. Prior motor control experience is valuable, but candidates with strength in sensors or peripherals are

Qualifications

Practical experience developing and debugging firmware in C for microcontroller-based systems.
Experience working close to hardware, such as developing drivers and bringing up an embedded board.
Understanding of real-time firmware, including interrupts and timing.
Evidence of delivering firmware into production or operational use.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain embedded firmware in C including drivers, HALs and application logic.
Translate product and system requirements into firmware behaviour and tests.
Implement real-time behaviour using interrupts, timers and peripheral hardware.
Contribute firmware for IPS power management, sensing, states, communications and diagnostics.
Integrate sensors and peripherals, support telemetry and data acquisition.
Develop automated tests and contribute to build and release pipelines.
Participate in code and design reviews and maintain technical documentation.
