Job summary

ePropelled, based in Coventry, is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to help develop next-generation PMU and power management electronics for unmanned systems. The role covers circuit design, power conversion, and hardware development across analog, digital and embedded interfaces.

You will collaborate with firmware, mechanical, quality and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable, testable hardware suitable for production. Seniority depends on experience and demonstrated capability.

Qualifications

• Role level depends on experience and demonstrated capability.
• Experience in power conversion circuits and mixed-signal design.
• Ability to work with firmware, mechanical, quality, systems and manufacturing engineering.

Responsibilities

• Translate product and system requirements into electronic circuit designs and verification test plans.
• Design and develop power conversion and power management circuits, including converter topologies and gate drives.
• Develop analogue, digital and microcontroller-based hardware with signal conditioning and interfaces.
• Select components using calculations, simulations, datasheets, tolerances and thermal considerations.
• Produce schematics and PCB layouts with attention to switching loops, signal integrity and thermal management.
• Bring up prototypes and investigate circuit and system behavior with proper lab equipment.
• Plan tests covering regulation, efficiency, protection, faults and temperature range.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers on hardware–software interfaces and control loops.
• Maintain design calculations, test reports and release documentation; support design reviews and manufacturing introduction.
