Job summary

Global Fire and Security Systems is seeking a Fire Systems - Field Line Manager to lead electrical service operations from Canary Wharf, London, on a static site.

You will manage an engineering team, own key accounts and service contracts, and drive safety, quality and customer service standards. This role combines field leadership with client-focused operations and reporting responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable leadership experience in the fire systems industry or a related field.
• Knowledge of relevant British Standards.
• Experience in customer-facing environments.
• Strong IT literacy and reporting ability.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• People management capabilities.
• Hold a valid full driving licence.
• Ability to build strong professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, managing and maintaining client relationships and carrying out regular review meetings.
• Day to day management of an engineering team, organising the day-to-day duties and operation of the team.
• Taking ownership of key accounts and service contracts allocated.
• Working closely with the operations administration team.
• Overseeing all works for your region, risk assessments/MOS, first time fix rates and real-time documentation submission.
• Managing and monitoring allocated job budgets to justify increases or variations.
• Carrying out audits (PDA, paperwork, timesheets, mileage, vehicles) per policy.
• Carrying out client site audits, checking customer O&M and site logs.
• Monitoring supplier and sub-contract costs for your region.
• Review training needs to meet accreditation and standards.
• Produce monthly and ad hoc reports.
• Conduct engineer appraisals and probation reviews.
• Identify and implement improvements in ways of working.
