Job summary

Global Fire and Security Systems is seeking a Field Line Manager for Electrical Service Operations based at Canary Wharf, London. This full-time role involves leading an engineering team, managing key client accounts, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

You will oversee risk assessments, budgets, audits and training, and work closely with administration to maintain records and reporting. A full driving licence and strong customer-facing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing teams in fire systems industry.
• Knowledge of relevant British Standards.
• Experience in a customer-based environment is essential.
• Good IT skills and proficiency with common software.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• People management experience is required.
• Hold a full driving licence.
• Ability to build strong professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and manage client relationships with regular review meetings.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the engineering team.
• Own key accounts and service contracts within your region.
• Collaborate with the operations administration team.
• Oversee risk assessments, method statements, first-time fix rates, maintenance, and real-time documentation.
• Manage budgets, audits, and vehicle/timesheet/vector records in line with policy.
• Conduct site audits and monitor supplier/sub-contractor costs.
• Identify training needs aligned to accreditation standards and organise delivery.
• Produce monthly and ad hoc reports; conduct engineer appraisals and probation reviews.
• Drive continuous improvements in processes and ways of working.

Due to continued market development, we are now seeking to appoint a Field Line Manager based at Canary Wharf, London.

Job Purpose:

• Provide exceptional customer service, managing and maintaining client relationships and carrying out regular review meetings
• Day to day management of an engineering team

Key Accountabilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, managing and maintaining client relationships and carrying out regular review meetings
• Day to day management of an engineering team, organising the day-to-day duties and operation of the team
• Taking ownership of key accounts and service contracts allocated
• Working closely with the operations administration team
• Overseeing all works for your region, taking full ownership of risk assessment/method statement, overseeing first time fix rates, deadline date adherence, planned maintenance, remedial works and real time documentation submission
• Managing and monitoring allocated job budgets to justify increase or variations'
• Carrying out audits, inclusive of PDA usage, paperwork, timesheet records, mileage records and vehicles, in line with company policy
• Carrying out client site audits, inclusive of checking customer O&Ms and site logs
• Monitoring of supplier & sub-contract costs for your region
• Monitor and review requirements for training in line with accreditation and standards
• Produce monthly and ad hoc reports
• Conduct engineer appraisals and probation reviews
• Identify better ways of working, continually looking at improvements

About You

• Demonstrable experience in the fire systems industry in a supervisory or management role
• Knowledge of the relevant British Standards
• Previous experience working in a customer-based environment
• Good IT skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• People management skills
• Hold a full driving licence
• Ability to create and build strong relationships, with a professional approach

All successful candidates will need to undertake security vetting
