Job summary

Johnson Controls in the United Kingdom is seeking a Fire Suppression Pre-Sales Engineer to design medium to high complexity fire suppression solutions that meet customer requirements and project objectives.

You will collaborate with sales teams, project managers and engineers, using AutoCAD and BIM to create layouts, calculations and technical documentation, while ensuring compliance with standards and delivering technically viable, commercially sound proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in fire suppression or life safety system design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and BIM design tools.

Responsibilities

• Design medium to high complexity fire suppression solutions for sales opportunities.
• Develop system layouts, specifications, calculations, and documentation.
• Review customer requirements and standards to create compliant solutions.
• Collaborate with sales, project managers, and engineers during meetings and bids.
• Produce engineering estimates and technical proposals to support delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews.
