Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Fire Suppression Pre-Sales Engineer to design medium to high complexity fire suppression systems. You will work closely with sales, project managers, and engineering teams to deliver technically compliant, commercially viable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in fire suppression or life safety.
• Experience designing medium to high complexity fire suppression systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and BIM.
• Knowledge of fire protection standards and regulations.
• Experience producing drawings, calculations and documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Design medium to high complexity fire suppression system solutions.
• Develop system layouts, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation using AutoCAD, BIM, and other tools.
• Review customer requirements, project specs, and standards to create compliant solutions.
• Collaborate with sales teams to provide technical support during meetings and bids.
• Produce accurate engineering estimates and technical proposals.
• Conduct design reviews and quality control checks.
• Liaise with customers, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to optimise design and outcomes.
• Support value engineering initiatives to improve performance and cost efficiency.
