Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Fire Suppression Estimator to support UK projects ranging from 200k to 30m. The role offers remote or hybrid working, with collaboration across Sales and Operations to deliver compliant, cost-effective fire protection solutions.

You will prepare outlines with AutoCAD, perform hydraulic calculations with FireCad, and produce detailed tenders and cost estimates while applying industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire sprinkler / fire suppression design estimating.
• Strong AutoCAD knowledge.
• Understanding of LPCB, NFPA, FM and BSEN12845 standards.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the team.

Responsibilities

• Develop compliant, cost-effective fire suppression solutions.
• Produce outline system designs using AutoCAD.
• Perform hydraulic calculations using FireCad (training provided).
• Prepare detailed tenders, quotations, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Review customer requirements, drawings and technical documentation.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders during the bid process.
• Apply LPCB, NFPA, FM and BSEN12845 standards.
• Support the Sales team in securing new business opportunities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and estimating best practices.
• Provide support to the Lead Estimator and act as deputy when required.
