Job summary
Allsaved Ltd. seeks a skilled Estimator & Design Engineer specializing in Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems.
You will estimate, design, and prepare technical submissions for commercial, industrial, and residential projects, ensuring compliance with British Standards and client specs. You will produce detailed layouts and equipment schedules using AutoCAD, coordinate with architects and contractors, and support installation, testing, and commissioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience estimating and designing fire alarm and fire suppression systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for detailed engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of BS5839 Part 1 and Part 6, BSEN15004, knowledge of LPS1204 and BAFE schemes.
- Experience with hydraulic calculations and fire suppression system design advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to prepare estimates.
- Produce accurate cost estimates and competitive proposals for fire alarm and fire suppression systems.
- Carry out site surveys and perform material take-offs and labor calculations.
