As a Fire Suppression Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering fire suppression system solutions for a diverse range of customer projects. Working closely with sales teams, project managers, and customers, you will develop detailed system layouts and technical documentation using AutoCAD and Building Information Modelling (BIM) software. You will ensure all designs meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards while supporting efficient project execution. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex fire protection projects and drive continuous improvement within the engineering design process.
Design fire suppression systems using AutoCAD and BIM software in accordance with project specifications. Produce detailed engineering drawings, calculations, material schedules, and technical documentation. Ensure designs comply with relevant fire protection standards, codes, and customer requirements. Collaborate with sales teams to support project handovers and clarify technical requirements. Engage directly with customers to understand operational needs and customise system designs. Review project specifications, contract documentation, and site information to develop accurate solutions. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. Support design reviews and resolve technical queries throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation. Identify and implement opportunities to improve design quality, efficiency, and project deliverables.
