Job summary

ionic Recruitment is assisting in finding an experienced Fire & Security Project Manager to lead the creation of a new in-house division in Manchester. You will drive end-to-end projects, from design through commissioning and handover, while shaping processes and accreditations.

The role requires solid experience in Fire Alarm/Fire & Security, with knowledge of BS 5839 and related standards. You will manage costs, liaise with clients and suppliers, and help establish the division's workflows and

Qualifications

• Solid experience in Fire Alarm / Fire & Security industry.
• Proven ability to manage projects from design through completion.
• Good knowledge of fire/security standards and design practices.
• Experience with estimating, quotations and procurement.
• Commercial awareness of project costs and margins.
• Experience dealing with clients, consultants and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage fire & security projects from design through commissioning and handover.
• Design fire alarm systems and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Prepare estimates and quotations.
• Plan labour, materials, procurement and project programmes.
• Manage costs, margins and client expectations.
• Coordinate installations, testing and commissioning.
• Produce project documentation, drawings, certificates and handover info.
• Work with manufacturers, suppliers, clients and consultants.
• Help develop processes, systems and accreditations for the division.
• Provide technical support and identify new business opportunities.
