Job summary

Wessex Fire & Security is seeking an experienced Installation Engineer to join our team. You will install and commission life safety and security systems across commercial and domestic sites in Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset and Wiltshire, working to high standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.

There is a strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and collaboration with the planning team, with access to renowned training academies.

Qualifications

• Essential competencies include UK driving licence, excellent organisational skills, self-motivation and strong communication abilities.
• Solid technical knowledge on fire and security system products.
• Desirable: SSSTS or ECS card, health & safety knowledge and CDM regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation and commissioning works across a wide range of systems, ensuring safety and minimizing damage to property and materials.
• Provide excellent service to exceed customer expectations.
• Comply with H&S legislation and company policies.
• Collaborate with planning team to manage time and ensure accurate job completion.
• Work from specifications and drawings to deliver project requirements.
• Complete engineer reports, handover certificates and job packs.
• Manage company van, stock and plant as required.
• Support growth of trainees and apprentices in the department.
