Job summary

Options Resourcing Ltd in Buckingham is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Installation / Service Engineer to install, test, commission and service a range of fire and security systems. The role is predominantly installation-based with some service work, and includes training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience installing Fire & Security systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical installation principles.
• Knowledge of BS7671.
• Experience cabling and containment.
• Experience programming, testing and commissioning systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good customer-facing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Install fire and security systems.
• Install cabling and containment in accordance with BS7671.
• Programme and test newly installed devices.
• Complete installation and commissioning documentation.
• Carry out service work when required.
• Liaise professionally with customers and other contractors.
• Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicle stock.
• Report faults, failures or deficiencies to your line manager.
• Maintain accurate monthly timesheets.
• Attend training courses when required.
• Supervise and mentor trainee engineers when required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures.
• Represent the company professionally and courteously at all times.
