Job summary

Universal Fire & Security, part of Ranger Fire & Security Group, is seeking a Fire & Security Engineer to install and service a broad range of life-safety systems. You’ll build strong client relationships, work autonomously within a supportive team, and contribute to high standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• BAFE SP101/SP104 and SP203-1 certifications required.
• City & Guilds Fire & Security qualifications preferred.
• CSCS card and site safety awareness expected.

Responsibilities

• Install and service a wide range of systems including Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lighting, Nurse Call, Automatic Gates & Barriers, Disabled Refuge Systems, and Fire & Safety Signage.
• Diagnose and repair faults across all systems with confidence and professionalism.
• Keep clients informed throughout each job and provide clear explanations of work performed.
• Maintain a clean, organised vehicle, complete weekly checks, and submit timesheets accurately.
• Participate in toolbox talks and engineer meetings; support development and training.
