Job summary

Universal Fire & Security in the UK is seeking a Fire & Security Engineer to join a growing team. You'll install and service a wide range of systems including Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and more, working with autonomy within a friendly, professional team.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills written, verbal, and customer-facing.
• Strong time management with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
• High attention to detail and deadlines.
• Confident technical capability and willingness to learn new systems.
• Understanding of both B2B and B2C environments.

Responsibilities

• Install a wide range of systems including Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lighting, Nurse Call, Automatic Gates & Barriers, Disabled Refuge Systems, and Fire & Safety Signage.
• Diagnose and repair faults across all systems with confidence and professionalism.
• Keep clients informed throughout each job, ensuring they feel supported and reassured.
• Provide clear explanations of work completed no jargon, no confusion.
• Identify opportunities for system upgrades or additions and prepare quotations.
