Job summary

Magenta International is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Estimator to join our West Sussex team. You will produce accurate quotations for fire alarm, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, VESDA and related systems across commercial and industrial sites.

You will conduct site surveys, review drawings and tender documents, and develop cost-effective solutions while coordinating with operations, design and project teams to meet client and industry standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience estimating fire alarm and/or electronic security projects.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Experience preparing labour calculations, material take-offs and cost breakdowns.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software packages.

Responsibilities

Review drawings, specifications and tender documents to determine project requirements.
Conduct site surveys to assess existing installations and project scope.
Prepare detailed cost estimates covering labour, materials, equipment, commissioning, subcontractors and project costs.
Produce system proposals, equipment schedules and technical documentation.
Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for competitive pricing.
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal teams through tender process.
Manage multiple tenders and ensure deadlines are met.
Support tender negotiations and clarifications.
Maintain records of quotations, pricing data and tender outcomes.
Ensure smooth handover of successful projects to delivery team.
