Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Fire and Security Engineer to install, service, maintain and repair fire and security systems across commercial and residential sites in Bristol and the Southwest. The role includes fault-finding, commissioning, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, with a company van for personal use and door-to-door travel paid on top of salary.

The ideal candidate has proven experience with fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms and access control, plus strong IT skills

Qualifications

• Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire and/or security systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Good knowledge of relevant British Standards and industry regulations.
• Experience with fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
• Good IT skills and experience using mobile reporting systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, fault-find, and repair fire alarm and security systems on site.
• Attend reactive callouts within agreed response times.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.
• Commission systems following installations or modifications.
• Identify faults and provide remedial recommendations.
• Update service reports, job sheets and certifications.

Job DescriptionFire and Security Engineer Bristol and the Southwest £40K - £42K Company van for personal use Are you a Fire and Security Engineer looking for a new role with a company that can offer development and great benefits? Would you like to be paid door to door travel on top of your salary We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join a growing and established business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of a wide range of fire and security systems across commercial and residential sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, fault-find, and repair: Fire alarm systems (conventional and addressable)
• Intruder alarm systems
• CCTV systems (IP and analogue)
• Access control systems
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.
• Attend reactive callouts within agreed response times.
• Complete small works and minor installations when required.
• Commission systems following installations or modifications.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with current industry standards and company procedures.
• Accurately complete all service reports, job sheets, and certification.
• Identify system faults, non-compliances, and provide recommendations for remedial works.
• Use mobile devices and job management systems to update work progress and records.
