Job summary

Thrive Sw is seeking a Fire and Security Engineer for a mobile role covering the Bristol region. The position combines service and maintenance with small installation and commissioning projects, with a company van provided for door-to-door travel.

Key duties include maintaining fire and security systems in commercial settings, effective customer communication, and completing all required paperwork. Training to FIA Level 3 will be provided within six months.

Qualifications

• Experience in installation or maintenance of fire and security systems.
• Desirable knowledge of GENT or TYCO fire alarm brands.
• Strong customer service and telephone etiquette.

Fire and Security Engineer – Mobile role with a van

Door to Door travel paid. Company van provided.

Location: Bristol region, commuting distance to Bristol. The role involves mixing service and maintenance work with small installation and commissioning projects. The company is rapidly growing and works in partnership with an established facilities management firm covering the South West and South Wales.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Service and maintenance of fire and security alarm systems in commercial properties.
• Small / minor works installations and commissioning (Senior Engineer).
• Foster effective communication between the company and our valued customers.
• Collaborate as part of a team, covering a specific geographical area.
• Execute site installations in accordance with specifications and plans.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance in line with contractual agreements.
• Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed after job completion.
• Handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Assist with technical questions and concerns.
• Uphold high standards in team working practices.
• Support company policies and best practices, especially regarding the protection of sensitive customer information.
• Be responsive to any reasonable requests from management.

Remuneration Package

• Senior Engineer salary: £45-50k
• Engineer salary: £38-42k
• Door to door travel paid.
