Job summary

Venatu Consulting Ltd is supporting a Birmingham-based fire & security provider to recruit 2 experienced Fire & Security Engineers for installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems.

You will work with conventional and addressable fire systems, bring expertise on major brands, and help deliver high-quality services. This permanent, full-time role includes progression opportunities and a company van.

Qualifications

Experience in installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault finding of fire and security systems for an NSI & BAFE registered company.
Competent in installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault finding of fire, access control, intruder alarms and CCTV systems.
Competent on conventional & addressable fire systems including Advanced, Kentec, Ctec, Morley, Gent, Notifier Vesda.
Experience with the associated fire and security software.
Experience with intruder alarms with key experience in Galaxy, Texecom, Eaton.
Experience with IP CCTV systems with key experience in Hikvision, Dahua, Axis and Avigilon.
Experience with access control systems with key experience in Paxton, ACT Vanderbilt, Grosvenor.
Experience with emergency lighting.
Must have working knowledge and experience of the current British Standards for fire systems, intruder alarms, access control and CCTV.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, service and repair intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems.
Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive works with a high first time fix rate.
Communicate effectively with admin, sales and operations teams to support efficient scheduling.
Upload documentation, certificates, photos and job notes using the job management systems.
Work on an various Conventional & Addressable fire systems.
Maintain accurate van stock, tools and overall vehicle condition.
Participate in the call out rota and provide occasional remote support.
Identify recurring faults or design issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
