Job summary

Get Staff is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join our Plymouth team, covering the South West with a fire-first focus.

You will service, fault-find, and repair fire alarm systems, with some intruder alarms, CCTV and access control across commercial and industrial sites. On-call rota and a company vehicle are provided.

A full UK driving licence and strong customer service skills are essential for independent, cross-training work.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work across commercial and industrial premises.
• Willing to cross-train into security systems.
• Strong fault finding and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, fault-find, and repair a range of Fire alarm systems, Intruder alarms, CCTV & Access control.
• Carry out approximately 80% fire and 20% security systems work.
• Work across a variety of commercial and industrial premises.
• Cover the South West region, with the majority of work based in Plymouth and some in Exeter.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

Fire & Security Engineer Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join an established team covering Plymouth and the wider South West.

This is a predominantly fire focused role, making it ideal for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer who is interested in developing their skills across security systems.
