Job summary

Greenlite Group is seeking an experienced Fire & Emergency Lighting Engineer to service and maintain fire alarm and emergency lighting systems across commercial and retail sites in the Midlands. The role involves independent on-site work, direct customer engagement, and accurate service reporting and certification.

Applicants should have strong hands-on experience with fire alarms and emergency lighting, knowledge of BS 5839-1, and a willingness to travel, including overnight stays when needed.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on fire alarm service and maintenance experience.
• Emergency lighting servicing and testing experience.
• Knowledge of BS 5839-1 and related standards.
• Accurate reporting and certification skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Fire alarm servicing, maintenance and fault finding
• Fire alarm remedial works
• Emergency lighting servicing, testing and remedial works
• Planned maintenance and reactive fault-finding
• Complete service reports and certification accurately
• Work independently and liaise directly with customers on site
• Travel throughout the allocated territory and occasionally further afield
