Job summary

Valoris Group is recruiting a Fire Alarm Service & Maintenance Engineer to service, maintain, and fault-find fire alarm systems and emergency lighting across commercial sites. The role involves travel nationwide, with accommodation arranged for working away from home, and is based in Birmingham with opportunities to work toward senior fire safety roles.

Ideal candidates have an electrical background, exposure to fire alarm systems or emergency lighting, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Electrical background with nearing completion of apprenticeship or fully qualified.
• Experience or exposure to fire alarm systems and emergency lighting preferred.
• Confident with emergency lighting testing and minor remedial works.
• Looking to enter or further develop a career in fire safety.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and fault-find on fire alarm systems.
• Test emergency lighting systems and replace fittings where required.
• Complete compliance reports to a high standard.
• Work in line with BS 5839 and all relevant safety regulations.
• Attend client sites nationwide.
• Work away during the week when required, with accommodation provided.
