Job summary

Greenlite Group is looking for an experienced Fire & Emergency Lighting Engineer to perform planned servicing, maintenance, testing, and reactive fault-finding across commercial and retail clients. You will work independently on customer sites, completing service reports and certifications with accuracy.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on fire alarm and emergency lighting experience, with knowledge of BS 5839-1, strong fault-finding skills, and the ability to travel across the Midlands,

Qualifications

• Must have strong hands-on fire alarm service and maintenance experience.
• Experience in emergency lighting servicing and testing.
• Knowledge of BS 5839-1 or related British Standards.
• Strong fault-finding and remedial works capability.
• Accurate reporting and certification skills.
• Ability to work independently and on site with customers.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Comfortable with occasional overnight stays.

Location / Territory: Leicester, Northampton and surrounding Midlands areas, with travel across the Midlands and surrounding areas. Occasional travel further afield and overnight stays may be required.

Role Overview

Greenlite Group is looking for an experienced Fire & Emergency Lighting Engineer to carry out planned servicing, maintenance, testing, reactive fault-finding and remedial works across a commercial and retail client base. The successful engineer must be comfortable working independently, dealing directly with customers on site and completing service reports and certification accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Fire alarm servicing, maintenance and fault finding
• Fire alarm remedial works
• Emergency lighting servicing, testing and remedial works
• Planned maintenance and reactive fault-finding
• Complete service reports and certification accurately
• Work independently and liaise directly with customers on site
• Travel throughout the allocated territory and occasionally further afield

Desirable Experience

• Fire alarm installation and commissioning experience
• Previous experience in commercial and/or retail environments

Essential Requirements

• Strong hands-on fire alarm service and maintenance experience
• Emergency lighting servicing and testing experience
• Knowledge of relevant British Standards, particularly BS 5839-1
• Strong fault-finding and remedial works capability
