Job summary

Our client in Leicester is seeking a Fire and Security Service/Install Engineer to deliver installation, maintenance and service across the East Midlands. You will work 40 hours a week with an on-call rota and travel to client sites as required.

Ideal candidates have intruder, CCTV and access control experience, with knowledge of fire alarm systems and NSI/NACOSS standards. A full UK driving licence and DBS check are essential. FIA is desirable but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Experience of fire and security systems across installation and service.
• Knowledge of British Standards and NSI Gold accreditation is preferred.
• Full UK driving licence and a clean DBS check are required.
• FIA qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure work complies with health and safety and company procedures.
• Maintain quality documentation and client relations.
• Support sales and engineers to meet project timelines.
• Travel as required across the East Midlands.

Fire and Security Service and Install Engineer

Service and Install Engineer - Fire and Security - Mobile position

• FIA is desirable but not necessary

This is a mobile role so you will be expected to cover the East Midlands

Job Summary

Our client is a leading, award winning and NIS accredited Fire and Security business who are looking to add a Fire and Security Service / Install Engineer to their established team of professionals. Our client is very customer focused, practical and hands-on in the industry ensuring their clients are satisfied with the work and keeping their business moving efficiently.

Working Hours/Environment

The working hours are 40 hours a week and there will be an on-call rota included in the package.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, preventative and corrective maintenance, whilst complying with Company procedures for:
  • Health and Safety
  • Work completed complies with work instructions
  • Quality documentation procedures
  • Company policies for vehicle use
• Achieve service level targets and any other requirements regarding customers.
• Promote generation of sales opportunities
• Ensure relationships with clients are maintained successfully.
• Interact, liaise and co-operate with all company employees.
• Develop successful performance with sales team through support and encouragement.
• Liaise with Chief Engineer, Sales and National Accounts personnel to ensure work commencement and completion dates are met whenever practicable.
• Maintain a neat and tidy appearance, wearing company issued clothing at all times whilst on duty.
• Support Chief Engineers, Sales and Senior Management in a variety of projects as and when required.
• In addition to the above-mentioned duties, you may, on occasion, be required to work in an alternative Abel branch.
• You may also be required to perform any other tasks within your skills and capabilities as required by Director or his nominee. These should be completed to agreed standards within agreed timetables.

Qualifications and Skills

• Knowledge of British Standards
• NSI / NACOSS knowledge - particularly relevant because they operate under NSI Gold accreditation.
• BAFE knowledge
• Full UK driving licence - specifically listed as required
• Clean criminal record / DBS check
