Job summary

4way Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Multi-Skilled Fire & Security Engineer to join a well-established provider serving Exeter and surrounding areas. You will install, service and maintain Fire Alarm, Intruder, CCTV and Access Control systems while handling fault finding and on-site diagnostics.

The role offers £35,000–£44,000 DOE, a company van and substantial overtime, with standby and call-out pay, 25 days holiday plus BH, pension and ongoing product training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Fire & Security Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of Fire Alarm, Intruder, CCTV & Access Control systems.
• Experience with a range of industry manufacturers and systems.
• Good knowledge of relevant British Standards.
• Proven IP/networking experience.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service and maintain Fire & Security systems.
• Carry out fault finding and repairs.
• Work across Fire Alarm, Intruder Alarm, CCTV and Access Control systems.
• Work on conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
• Carry out emergency lighting maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and provide effective solutions independently.
• Work with IP-based security and communication systems.
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
• Participate in the on-call rota.
• Deliver excellent customer service at all times.

• Good knowledge of relevant British Standards
• Proven IP/networking experience
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
• FIA qualifications/experience would be advantageous
• ECS/CSCS, IPAF and PASMA desirable
• Must be able to satisfy relevant security vetting and DBS checks
• IT literate with good administration skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
