Job summary

Venatu Consulting Ltd is recruiting two Fire & Security Engineers for a leading Fire & Security provider. Based in Colchester or Cambridge, you will install, commission, service and repair intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems.

The role offers £40k-£43k with OTE £50k, company van and tools, and opportunities for progression. Full-time permanent position with on-site work and occasional call-out.

Qualifications

• Experience in Installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault finding of Fire and Security Systems for an NSI & BAfe registered company.
• Competent in Installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault finding of Fire, Access control, Intruder alarms and CCTV systems.
• Competent on Conventional & Addressable fire systems including Advanced, Kentec, Ctec, Morley, Gent, Notifier Vesda.
• Experience with IP CCTV systems (Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Avigilon).
• Experience with intruder alarms with Galaxy, Texecom, Eaton.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service and repair intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive works with a high first time fix rate.
• Communicate with admin, sales and operations to support scheduling.
• Upload documentation, certificates, photos and job notes using job management systems.
• Work on Conventional & Addressable fire systems; maintain van stock and tools.
• Participate in call out rota and provide remote support as needed.
• Identify recurring faults and contribute to continuous improvement.

We are proud to announce that one of our valued clients, who are a leading Fire & Security company, are now looking to recruit 2 experienced Fire & Security Engineers due to their continued growth and expansion. They're a highly established, BAFE-accredited provider of Fire Protection and Security systems with over 30 years of industry experience reuslting in them ammasing an outstanding reputation for delivering high quality solutions to a prestigious customer base and are now seeking a Fire & Security Engineer to join their growing team in in either Colchester or Cambridge!

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, service and repair intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive works with a high first time fix rate
• Communicate effectively with admin, sales and operations teams to support efficient scheduling
• Upload documentation, certificates, photos and job notes using the job management systems
• Work on an various Conventional & Addressable fire systems
• Maintain accurate van stock, tools and overall vehicle condition
• Participate in the call out rota and provide occasional remote support
• Identify recurring faults or design issues and contribute to continuous improvement

Skills and experience required

• Essential:
• Experience in Installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault finding of Fire and Security Systems for an NSI & BAFE registered company
• Competent in the Installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault finding of Fire, Access control systems, Intruder alarms and CCTV systems.
• Competent on Conventional & Addressable fire systems including Advanced, Kentec, Ctec, Morley, Gent, Notifier Vesda etc.
• Experience in the use associated fire and security software.
• Experience with intruder alarms with key experience in Galaxy, Texecom, Eaton etc.
• Experience with IP CCTV systems with key experience in Hikvision, Dahua, Axis and Avigilon etc.
• Experience with Access control systems with key experience in Paxton, ACT Vanderbilt, Grosvenor etc.
• Experience with emergency lighting.
• Must have working knowledge and experience of the current British Standards for fire systems, Intruder alarms, Access control and CCTV.

Desirable:

• Qualifications/Experience in BS5839, BS50131, PD6662, BS60839, NCP109, BS8418, BS6276, NCP104 and BS5266/FIA Units preferable
