Job summary

4way Recruitment has partnered with an accredited provider to recruit a Multi-Skilled Fire & Security Engineer for their Exeter-based team. The role offers a permanent position with long-term stability, ongoing training, and clear progression within a growing business.

Salary ranges from £35,000 to £44,000 per year (DOE), with £50k+ OTE, company van, generous overtime, and pension. Must hold UK driving licence and be able to obtain security vetting.

Qualifications

• Experience as a multi-skilled fire & security engineer.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm, intruder, CCTV & access control systems.
• IP networking experience and fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service and maintain fire & security systems.
• Carry out fault finding and repairs.
• Work across fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV and access control systems.
• Work on conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
• Carry out emergency lighting maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and provide effective solutions independently.
• Work with IP-based security and communication systems.
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
• Participate in the on-call rota.
• Deliver excellent customer service at all times.

Key Responsibilities - Multi-Skilled Fire & Security Engineer

Skills and experience - Multi-Skilled Fire & Security Engineer

• Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Fire & Security Engineer
• Strong knowledge of Fire Alarm, Intruder, CCTV & Access Control systems
• Experience with a range of industry manufacturers and systems
• Good knowledge of relevant British Standards
• Proven IP/networking experience
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
• FIA qualifications/experience would be advantageous
• ECS/CSCS, IPAF and PASMA desirable
• Must be able to satisfy relevant security vetting and DBS checks
• IT literate with good administration skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
