Job summary

Organizabox is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to install, maintain and fault-find on fire alarm systems across multiple sites. The role requires a strong technical background and thorough knowledge of UK safety standards, including BS 5839, with experience across conventional, addressable and wireless systems.

You will perform inspections, testing, and certification, ensuring compliance with Fire Safety regulations and producing accurate reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience installing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
• Strong knowledge of UK fire alarm standards and BS 5839.
• Good knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
• Experience with conventional, addressable and wireless fire alarm systems.
• Relevant qualifications such as FIA certifications or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission fire alarm systems on various sites.
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs.
• Test conventional, addressable and wireless systems.
• Modify and upgrade systems.
• Ensure compliance with BS 5839 and fire-safety laws.
• Produce service reports, test records and certifications.
• Identify defects and recommend remedial work.
• Communicate professionally with customers and site reps.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment.
