Job summary
Staffbase Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading fire protection company for a Fire Alarm Installation & Commissioning Engineer. The role is field-based, installing and commissioning addressable fire alarm systems at commercial and industrial premises, with testing, fault finding and documentation to BS 5839-1 standards.
The candidate will install panels from brands such as GENT, Advanced, Kentec, Morley, Protec or Notifier, hold a full UK driving licence, and enjoy an attractive
Qualifications
- Experience with installation and commissioning of addressable fire alarm systems
- Good knowledge of addressable fire alarm control panels (GENT, Advanced, Kentec, Morley, Protec, Notifier or similar)
- FIA training and relevant electrical qualifications preferred
- Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently at customer sites
Responsibilities
- Install and commission addressable fire alarm systems.
- Test, fault find and rectify installation faults.
- Program, configure and commission fire alarm panels.
- Install control panels, detectors, sounders, MCCs and related equipment.
- Ensure installations comply with BS 5839-1 and complete commissioning certificates and test records.
