Job summary

Valoris Group Limited is seeking a skilled fire alarm technician to install, maintain and test systems across various sites in Lancashire. You will fault-find, commission and modify conventional, addressable and wireless alarms while ensuring adherence to BS 5839 and UK fire-safety regulations.

The role requires strong technical knowledge and a professional, safety-conscious approach. A van, mobile phone, fuel card, and benefits package accompany a comprehensive leave plan and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience installing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
• Strong knowledge of UK fire alarm standards incl. BS 5839.
• Understanding of Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
• Experience with conventional, addressable and wireless systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission fire alarm systems.
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs.
• Test conventional, addressable and wireless fire alarm systems.
• Complete system modifications and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with BS 5839 and fire-safety legislation.
• Produce service reports, test records and certification.
• Identify defects and recommended remedial work.
• Communicate professionally with customers and site representatives.
• Maintain the company vehicle, tools and equipment.
