Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group seeks a Freelance Finishing Manager to support the final stages of a construction project in Lancing. This hands-on role delivers high-quality finishes and ensures a smooth handover to the client.

You will oversee finishing trades, manage subcontractors, and carry out snagging inspections to ensure timely completion, quality standards, and on-site health and safety compliance. Immediate start with a competitive day rate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Finishing Manager on construction projects.
• Valid CSCS card (essential).
• SMSTS or SSSTS preferred.
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee painting, decorating, flooring, carpentry, and snagging.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely completion.
• Carry out snagging inspections and resolve defects promptly.

Freelance Finishing Manager - Construction

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Finishing Manager to support the final stages of a construction project. This is a hands-on role focused on delivering high-quality finishes and ensuring a smooth handover to the client.

Location: Lancing
Salary: £230.00- £250.00 per Day
Contract: Contract
Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all finishing trades including painting, decorating, flooring, carpentry, and snagging
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely completion
• Carry out detailed snagging inspections and ensure defects are resolved promptly
• Maintain high standards of quality control across all finishing works
• Work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to meet deadlines
• Ensure health & safety regulations are followed on site
• Assist with final handover and client inspections
