Job summary

We Recruit Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a residential construction team in Bedford. You will oversee finishing works across high-quality new-build housing developments and ensure plots are prepared for customer handover.

You will work closely with the Site Manager and subcontractors, carry out quality inspections, coordinate NHBC readiness, and maintain health and safety on site to meet programme deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman within residential housebuilding.
• Strong knowledge of internal and external finishing trades.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and meet tight deadlines.
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• First Aid at Work (preferred).
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage finishing works across a busy residential housing development.
• Coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.
• Carry out quality inspections and snagging, ensuring defects are rectified promptly.
• Prepare plots for NHBC inspections and customer handovers.
• Work closely with the Site Manager to ensure build programmes are achieved.
• Maintain excellent health and safety standards on site.
• Ensure all plots are completed in line with company quality standards and programme requirements.
• Liaise with Customer Care and Sales teams where required to ensure smooth completions.
