The Dorchester invites a skilled Restaurant Supervisor to join The Grill, renowned as a top London dining destination. You will lead a team with elegance, manage service flow, and support the Restaurant Manager in daily operations.

You will learn from industry experts, participate in our award-winning academy, and contribute to delivering exceptional guest experiences with precision and warmth at every table.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fine dining restaurant or luxury hospitality required.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a service team with professionalism and poise.
• Understanding of restaurant systems including order taking, POS, and guest handling.
• High standards of personal grooming and professional communication with a guest-first mindset.
• Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Waiters and Head Waiters, providing hands-on guidance to maintain high hospitality standards.
• Deliver pre-service briefings aligned with daily priorities and guest profiles.
• Oversee your section, managing guest interactions from welcome to farewell with elegant service.
• Assist in opening/closing procedures, set dining room, complete reports, and ensure cleanliness.
• Handle cashing up and admin tasks; support reporting and scheduling as needed.
• Respond to guest requests or issues with composure, creativity, and dedication to excellence.
• Collaborate with kitchen, sommelier team, and leadership to ensure synchronized service.
