Job summary

Wise is a global technology company focused on moving and managing money with a strong fraud prevention focus. As a Software Engineer in our Scam Prevention team, you will own end-to-end features to build and refine controls preventing scams and protecting customers worldwide.

You will work on backend systems (80%) and contribute to frontend interfaces (20%) using React and TypeScript, collaborating closely with data scientists to deploy ML-enabled solutions within scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java and JVM-based languages.
• Experience building scalable web applications using the Spring framework.
• Proficiency in React, JavaScript and TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for fraud prevention and detection.
• Contribute to frontend work (20%) using React/TypeScript.
• Own end-to-end delivery of features from design to production.
• Collaborate with data science to integrate ML models and data pipelines.
• Design robust, scalable, and secure systems to protect Wise customers.
