Job summary

ICAEW in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to lead a small team delivering monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting under IFRS/UK GAAP. You will ensure balance sheet integrity, manage statutory reporting and liaise with auditors while driving improvements and automation across processes.

Coventry-based hybrid role with strong stakeholder engagement. The role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification, solid reporting cycle experience, and excellence in Excel and ERP

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with strong financial reporting and statutory accounting experience.
• Experience managing reporting cycles and leading or supervising a finance team.
• Strong Excel and ERP/reporting systems skills and effective stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

Overview of the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to lead a small team and take responsibility for the timely and accurate delivery of financial, statutory and management reporting. You'll ensure compliance with accounting standards, maintain a strong control environment and support audit requirements, while driving improvements across reporting processes. Exposure to tax and treasury would also be beneficial.

Your new role

You'll lead and develop a small Financial Reporting team, overseeing month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting, management accounts and statutory accounts under IFRS and/or UK GAAP. You'll ensure balance sheet integrity, maintain strong financial controls and act as a key contact for internal and external auditors. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll provide insightful financial analysis while driving improvements, automation and greater efficiency across reporting processes.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with strong financial reporting and statutory accounting experience. You'll have experience managing reporting cycles and leading or supervising a finance team, alongside strong Excel and ERP/reporting systems skills. You'll also be a confident communicator with good analytical and stakeholder management capabilities.
