Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for a Senior Finance Manager (Reporting) on a hybrid basis in the Wirral area. The role oversees financial reporting, governance, controls and transactional finance within a large, regulated organisation and partners with operational and executive leaders to provide insights that drive performance.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent).
• Senior level experience in financial controller, head of finance, senior business partnering or finance manager role.
• Experience delivering monthly management accounts.
• Experience with statutory accounts and external audit management.
• Experience in finance systems upgrades and process improvement.
• Experience engaging with board and executive stakeholders.
• Experience leading transformation, projects and change initiatives.

Job description

A finance leader responsible for overseeing financial reporting, governance, financial controls and transactional finance activities within a large, regulated organisation. Partnering with operational and executive leaders to provide financial insight, support decision making and drive performance.

You will lead on the delivery of management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, statutory accounts and audit processes.

Description

• Managing and developing the finance team
• Leading the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts, financial forecasts and performance reporting for senior leadership and Board members
• Acting as a business partner, providing financial analysis to operational leaders and budget holders across multiple subsidiaries
• Managing the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including long term financial planning and scenario modelling.
• Leading the preparation of statutory accounts and serving as the primary contact for external auditors throughout the annual audit cycle.
• Strengthening financial governance, risk management and internal controls
• Overseeing the management and safeguarding of funds and compliance.
• Driving continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting processes and operational efficiencies through automation and system upgrades
• Leading finance transformation initiatives and supporting the organisational through a period of change
• Supporting executive teams and committees with financial insights, governance assurance and strategic decision making

Profile

A successful Senior Finance Manager (Reporting) should have:

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent)
• Senior level experience as financial controller, head of finance or senior business partnering or finance manager looking for a step up
