Job summary

Rathbones is seeking a Financial Crime Operations Analyst in Liverpool to support the operation of the firm’s financial crime control framework. You will review alerts from transaction monitoring and screening systems, document decisions, and escalate where appropriate to manage risk in wealth and asset management.

The role requires strong analytical judgement, attention to detail and the ability to handle a varied workload within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial crime/compliance within a regulated financial services environment.
• Experience reviewing transaction monitoring, customer screening or payment alerts.
• Knowledge of AML, sanctions, PEPs and related risks.
• Ability to analyse information and reach evidence-based decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate case records.

Responsibilities

• Review transaction monitoring alerts and assess activity against risk indicators.
• Escalate complex matches and potential policy breaches per procedures.
• Review customer screening alerts for sanctions, PEPs and adverse media.
• Maintain clear, evidence-based decisions and complete case records.
• Support regulatory reviews and quality assurance of alert handling.
