Job summary

Itchyfeet Recruitment Agency seeks an experienced Financial Controller to oversee all accounting operations from the Douglas office. You will manage billing, AR/AP, GL and revenue recognition while ensuring robust internal controls and regulatory compliance.

You will also prepare timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting, and coordinate with auditors and tax advisors. The role offers growth in a collaborative, international environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with professional designation (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years in a financial controller or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations and financial reporting.
• Proficient with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Excel.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Able to work independently with high accuracy under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including billing, AR/AP, GL and revenue recognition.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with standards.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and service providers.
• Maintain relationships with banks and oversee financial systems.
• Suggest improvements to financial processes as needed.
