Job summary

Itchyfeet Recruitment Agency is seeking a Finance Manager to lead budgeting, monthly reporting, and financial controls across services. You will work closely with the Senior Finance Manager to deliver robust financial information for Committees and Senior Management Teams.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership, and mentoring of junior staff within the Finance Function, with collaboration across Financial Management, Reporting, and Planning & Analysis teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in annual budget setting and monthly financial reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to present data clearly.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and maintain detail.
• Experience with SAP or similar financial systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as key support to Senior Finance Manager for monthly trial balances.
• Complete accounting adjustments to ensure efficient month-end close.
• Implement and manage robust financial controls for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform month-end reconciliations of balance sheet items and reporting.
• Assist in preparation of timely management accounts and year-end reports.
• Contribute to budget setting and medium-term financial planning.
• Provide insights for KPIs, dashboards and portfolio analyses.
• Mentor junior staff and support professional development.
